Aussies back to being the best!

It was my dream final-AUS vs NZ in the ICC Champions' trophy final-two of my favorite teams in the cricket arena.Australia were the hot favorites to win the title but the Kiwis had proved to be the dark horses in the tournament by reaching the final beyond anyone's expectations.Australia is known for battling it out till the last ball whereas New Zealand is well known for utilising its limited talent to the full extent. But just before the match,New Zealand suffered a big blow when vice captain Brendon McCullum declared that captain Daniel Vettori won't be able to play due to hamstring problem.Daniel had been awesome throughout the tournament both with the ball and the bat and had often turned out to be the match winner for his team at crucial points. It was indeed a shocking news for New Zealand.

New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat first.Australian bowlers did a remarkably wonderful job in restricting the Kiwis to 20o on a pitch where more than 300 is the winning score. The Kiwis looked vulnerable and wickets fell at regular intervals.Peter Siddle was impressive in his spell of one for eight in five overs before off spinner Hauritz completed a figure of three for 37 in 10 excellent overs.Redmond was the highest scorer for the team with 40 followed by Broom(37) and Franklin(33).

Australia had to score 201 from 50 overs at 4.02 runs per over.Australia had a nightmare start to its campaign when it fell to 6/2 with Shane Bond and Kyle Mills taking a wicket each to eliminate Tim Paine and the captain and the highest run getter of the tourney Ricky Ponting. The team struggled to finish for 37/2 after 16 overs. But Shane Watson's unbeaten century led the team to a 6 wicket win over the Kiwis.New Zealand could have the match in their control had Brendon McCullum not dropped a catch of Cameron White which would have reduced the Aussies to 41/3 after the 18th over. Both Watson and White put up 128 runs for the third wicket. The star of the day was undoubtedly Shane Watson who maintained his composure at a crunch situation and ended the innings with two successive sixes off spinner Jeetan Patel to end the match at 105*.While Shane Watson was awarded the man of the match,it was the truly deserving Ricky Ponting who claimed the man of the tournament and Golden Bat award. The tournament ended on a high note for the best team!

Australia truly deserved to win the Champions' trophy title as they put up an incredible effort to get out of trouble whenever it mattered,be it against West Indies or Pakistan or New Zealand in the final.Aussies are now back to being the best and they deserve this reward for their consistent performance in the ICC events.

Clash of the Champions!

Australia and New Zealand are all set to play the ICC Champions' trophy final today. This one is gonna be an exciting match for sure.Though Australia are the obvious favorites,it would be a blunder to underestimate the Kiwis.I wish the Aussies can successfully defend their title!

Australia has been dominant in all the ICC tournaments except the Twenty20 .Till the semifinals, the Kangaroos have managed to come back from the brink of defeat to top their respective Pool A table with 5 points from three matches. But in the semis against England, the team was an altogether different version of what had been seen earlier.Shane Watson along with Ricky Ponting stole the show for the team. They were nearly flawless scoring the highest second wicket partnership in Australian history. If the team plays like this,it seems virtually impossible to stop the Kangaroos.
On the other hand,no one expected Kiwis to make it to the finals. But they have really upped their standard when it mattered. They are now on a three match winning roll against Sri lanka,Engand and Younus Khan's team and if they continue their form in this way, they would pose some serious danger to the Kangaroos. The captain Vettori has done an excellent job till now both with the ball and the bat.The bowlers have also showed outstanding performance. So both Australia and New Zealand are looking forward to make history today!

I wish Ponting's team emerges victorious in the final to take away "its" title successfully because they certainly deserve to be up there.

New Zealand stuns Pakistan!

The second semi final of the Champions' trophy got over with the underdog Kiwis stunning the in-form Pakistan team!I was completely in suppport of the Kiwis from the start not because I am an Indian and I am anti-Pakistan in all fields but because I really appreciate the sportsman spirit of Kiwis and most importantly, two of my favorites-Brendon McCullum and Daniel Vettori are part of the team:)

Pakistan got off to a good start but wickets started falling regularly.Pakistan recovered well from 86/4 to put up a modest 233 on the scoreboard thanks to the 80 run partnership between Akmal and Md.Yousuf and Akmal's 55 off 62 balls based on which Pakistan's score was built.Ajmal was the most successful among bowlers with two for 39 in eight overs.

Grant Elliot's unbeaten half century inspired New Zealand to register a five wicket win over Pakistan and book their spot in the final opposite Australia. After the Kiwis struggled to 71 for three,Taylor and Elliot combined for a partnership of 55 runs before Taylor was bowled by Shahid Afridi for 38 off 61.Elliot then shared a 104 run stand with Vettori(41) before the fall of the fifth wicket.
Ian Butler proved to be the most successful with his four for 44 in 10 overs.Vettori took three for 43 in 10 overs to reach his 250th ODI wicket.

So an interesting match up lies between Australia and New Zealand.Hoping for Australia to lift the trophy!

Aussies' spectacular innings!

The day before yesterday it was the first semifinal of ICC Champions' trophy 2009-England vs Australia-another high profile match!Australia was no doubt the favorites and I too, wanted Australia to reach the final as I am a big supporter of Australian team!

England won the toss and elected to bat first..maybe their startegy was to make a high score and then pressurize the Aussies in the second half on a batting favorable pitch.Hence England started with much more aggression than expected.Down two wickets early on,their score skyrocketed thanks to hard hitting by Paul Collingwood. The runs came on coming for England and Aussies needed to stop this free flowing of runs!As usual, the bowlers responded brilliantly to make the score 101/6.
But England was in no mood to give up..the lower order batsmen did a brilliant job to put up a respectable 257 on the scoreboard! Now it was Australia's turn to chase the total and earn themselves a place in the final spot.

England was successful early on with the wicket of Tim Paine in the second over. The rest was history!Ricky Ponting and Shane Watson's centuries helped the team complete the job with nearly eight overs to spare.Ponting and Watson batted exceptionally well to form the highest ever ODI partnership in Australia's history and coast an excellent win!Ricky Ponting also became the first Australian and only the third player to pass the mark of 12000 runs in ODIs.Australia will face New Zealand in the final of Champions' trophy on Monday.

Among the bowlers,Siddle (3/55) was most successful followed by Brett Lee(2/46) and Shane Watson(2/35).Tim Paine took 5 brilliant catches but certainly the man of the match was Shane Watson(136*) who played an amazing innings with both the ball and the bat!

I wish Australia maintains this form in the final and defends its title successfully!

Austria to follow Switzerland!

The Austrian postal services announced on Monday that they will be issuing 400,000 stamps in February 2010 featuring the world No.1 tennis player Roger Federer!

Just going through some funny headlines like "Here's your chance to lick Roger Federer",one question popped up-Why Austria?Maybe it is filled with Fedophiles or it might be an indirect way of honoring his pre French open partner the Austrian Stefan Koubek!Whatever may be the reason, the stamp features a photo of Roger at the French Open.
this is not the first time that a country is doing such an honor to Roger Federer.Switzerland has already issued its stamps featuring Roger Federer in 2007.The first man in the country to get such an honor during his lifetime!

Lucky Austrians...huh??

Success

In the words of Margaret Thatcher:

"Success is a mixture of having a flair for the thing that you are doing, knowing that it is not enough, that you have got to have hard work and a certain sense of purpose."

Success is an absolutely relative term. For some,it refers to the happiness or satisfaction they get from their job, while for others it has to do with their bank balance and lavish lifestyle!
I believe success is the feeling of being on the top of the world which provides you with a genuine satisfaction about your accomplishments. For me,success is a surprise reward of your passion, flaming enthusiasm, energy, drive and persistence. It is a tune which everyone craves to hear but a few have the patience to keep their ears open long enough to enjoy its melody and the solace it gives you back!

So what is it that makes one's life a success?
The essential criterion for success is that it should never be followed!Success is too shy to come out while being watched.Success comes only because it is well deserved not because it is sought after. The road to success gets blocked when the destination takes the driver seat instead of the journey.Success comes when the fear of failure looks pale in comparison to your desire to succeed.Your resolution to win becomes more important than others' opinion about you!

As Arnold Glasgow puts it,"Success isn't a result of spontaneous combustion. You must set yourself on fire."
Success favors you when it finds your effort persistent and strong enough to withstand any storm of life.Success is not measured so much by what you achieve but by the obstacles you overcome while on the way to your goal.It is not only about the height you climb but also how high you bounce back after falling to the ground.Success means sustaining your hope and enthusiasm when things don't go your way.Success is also about turning the tide of disappointments and failures in your favor.

Success is an unique blend of hard labor, passion, enthusiasm, determination, perseverance and a single minded devotion to achieve your goal.We are really fortunate that God has given all those qualities to very few people as a result of which success is rare and hence the most beautiful feeling in this world!

A year of significance!

Although US Opened has carved out a name for itself in the history of tennis as a Grand slam which does not welcome surprises, this year it went for something new!

While in the women's game,it was the comeback queen and super mom Kim Clijsters who made all the headlines,in the men's tour..the center of attraction was some 6-foot-6 Argentine who caused one of the biggest upsets in the history of tennis by humbling a 15-time Grand Slam champion in a tight five setter!

It was Kim's third tournament since her comeback after a two year off and her victory sprang up as the greatest surprise as she was the first mother to win a Grand Slam since 1980 Wimbledon!

Juan Martin del Potro,a lanky baseliner from Argentina went all the way to clinch the first Grand Slam title of his career but the importance of the trophy increased manifold considering the person on the other side of the net!It was the Grand Slam man,Roger Federer!
All the credit to this 20-year old from Tandil who held his nerve throughout the final to score his first and probably the biggest win over the Swiss maestro! He really stepped up his game when it really mattered with his thunderous serves and nuclear missile like forehands of 110mph!Thanks to some uncharacteristic errors form Federer, del Potro got his breakthrough when he was just two points away from defeat and Federer ,two points away from equaling Bill Tilden's record.

Though Federer lost the Slam and allowed Bil Tilden's ghost to rest in peace for a longer period,it cannot be denied that this year he deserves the Grand Slam man of the season award! After the Australian Open at the beginning of the year, watching a teary Roger after his loss to Rafa in the final even his staunchest supporters would have given up the hopes of seeing their man lifting another Slam title to make it 14 overall. The idea of Roger winning his 15th would have completely vaporized from their hearts and minds.

Nadal's early exit from the Roland Garros and his absence from competitive tennis owing to tendinitis in his knees might have created a crack in Federer's seemingly closed mental door but it was largely due to the champion's indomitable will power and thousands of hours of hard labor that let the world witness one of the most stirring comebacks seen in the history of the sport!

Roger Federer became only the sixth man in the history of tennis to have a career Grand Slam to his name when tears rolled down his eyes in disbelief after his name got carved in the Roland Garros trophy! He had equalled Pete's record of 14...and was on a mission to accomplish the most daunting feat of becoming the most successful man in the history of tennis at Grand Slams! He completed his mission in the following Grand Slam at Wimbledon but this time he had to overcome the challenge from an inspired Roddick!Clearly the Roddick who had lost to the same man in previous two finals was no more there that day!It was the resurgent one but Federer had an answer for everything. In the process...he moved to his familiar spot(#1) which had been usurped by some Spanish gladiator from Mallorca!

As someone has rightly said-People don't become champions by their accomplishments, champions have something inside them which demarcates them from the rest! For Roger, this something is his immense self-belief,strong inner drive to brave the storms and challenges on his way, single minded devotion and a stubborn determination to succeed. His consistency in the majors(22 straight semifinal appearances),the artistry of his shot making ,the perfect combination of speed, power, precision and accuracy, gracious and elegant demeanor on and off court as well as his fair play and true sportsmanship undoubtedly provide strong arguments in favor of Roger being arguably the greatest ever to grace a tennis court!

This year was meant for history to be created.Though this year marked the rise of DelPotro as a serious Grand Slam contender and ended with Roger on the losing side, yet this year was not about what he failed to achieve but about what he accomplished and how did he!Most of the spoting records hold their charm for a small span of time but some like Federer's have created a league of their own and probably can never be matched!

Taste of Success

Success comes not to those who long for it
Neither does it favor those who seldom feel the pain of heat
Success-the magical attire, everyone craves to wear,
But the road to success is the path which all fear!

Most of us pine for a well trodden path,
A few dare to go beyond it;
Those who move ahead with the guts to succeed
Are the rare ones to accomplish a staggering feat!

Some people are born to become great
Others have pleas galore for their fate,
Winners believe in themselves,no matter wherever they are;
Their inner drive spurs them to make each feat stellar.

Rising and falling tides are part of ocean of life,
Failures do not get invited to be with us,
But these are the times for winners to unveil their genius.
Challenges get tougher as the road gets ahead
People become winners by storming those with a determined head.

Luck favors those who rarely depend on it;
This makes the champions the men to beat
Champions dare to grab the luck present there
And the rest stare in amazement and despair.

The exultant and glorious are definitely no cyborgs;
Nor do they descend from any other planet
The incredible commitment for their passion comes from within;
Neither do they lose their cool nor do they fret.

Success is not how high you rise
but how high you bounce back after hitting the bottom;
What works is the sheer determination, strong willpower and positive outlook,
which dive the victorious deep into history book.

For someone considered the greatest-ever,
"What more can be said about his grace and elegant demeanor?"
For someone who is "Still the one", still the man to beat,
"No words to explain such an incredible feat."

For someone with such a beautiful yet devastating game,
"Hats off for reaching the pinnacle of fame"
For someone hailed as the ambassador of sportsmanship,
"The most adept ever born to grace the tennis field"
For someone with such panache and elan,
"My special tribute to the most fair and true sportsman"

This is a tribute to the great Roger Federer after he won his 15th Grand Slam title!

The Black Friday

"God, it's killing me."
These were Roger's words during the trophy ceremony at the Australian Open this year after he lost that epic final to his nemesis Rafael Nadal.I still remember that intense pain which gripped Federer.
But after his loss to Novak Djokovic at the Miami Masters semifinals,I think these words have become more prophetic. It's not only killing Federer but also all his fans worldwide.
I was really very disappointed with Federer after he lost to Andy Murray in the semifinals of Indian Wells.I completely believed that he could win that match but I thought at the end the loss was all due to his own faults.
But after Federer lost to Djokovic yesterday,I have no words to blame him. After watching the whole match,I could feel the problems faced by Federer. It was neither a mental block nor a lapse of concentration. But the windy conditions which destroyed his game!I know if I blame the conditions,he cannot win the match which he has lost. But those who have watched the match carefully ,they can understand what I mean. The shots which Federer never misses,he missed those so frequently! It was unbelievable.
Those were the worst two sets I have ever seen Federer play. The frustration could be clearly seen in Federer when he smashed his racquet.I guess, people might have started making an issue out of that. The people who didn't spare Federer after he shed his tears before the entire Rod Laver Arena even though I couldn't witness anything abnormal in that ,how can they leave him when he smashes his racquet!Shame on those people!

I couldn't sleep the last night just pondering why God is being so rude to Federer. Why doesn't He make him happy? What does He gain by doing all these? Why everything went against him including his luck? Why,why, why?I don't have any answers to these questions. But this time I have no reason to be angry with him,to be honest!

He is my idol.I love him as much I love my mother.Just like you never leave your true friends despite the highs and lows in their lives, similarly how can I leave Federer, how can I be happy when he is not and how can I enjoy when he is facing such a tough period in his professional life?
I have learned to value relationships,I will be loyal to my loved ones till the day I die. That may even cost me my own life because life can never be exciting without true relationships!

Today,I am filled with frustration ,irritation as well as anger waiting to erupt from my inner body as soon as they get an orifice.I just want to smash everything.Maybe, more or less it is related to Federer's loss.Maybe, because God does not listen to me.Maybe,God does not want this emotional turmoil to end in the near future.Everything is in destiny's hands now.But still I would like to pray God please bring the spring in Federer's life as well as in mine.

Our Unreal Dream

Sometimes I hate life to the fullest.
Today I really feel hurt.I would hate to say which college I am studying in.I feel contaminated to spend 7 hours of each precious day in that drain. The period when I should be toiling hard to carve a niche for myself,I waste it in a place where it feels you are heading into a no man's land.It gives the impression about my life as a zero vector which neither has any magnitude nor any direction.

I have often heard people say about living in the present.I don't disagree on that but a slight modification is essential. You must have a long term goal in life which should keep you striving for the goal incessantly. But at the same time you also need to live the present. The meaning is crystal clear-even when you strive for excellence in your future, you need not forget your present. But some interpret it in a different manner-they believe in the philosophy- forget the worries of the future and enjoy the present.Let me give you an example-suppose you have planned to go to a place during your holidays.first you decide your destination, then enjoy the journey.Try to enjoy the path to destination as well.Don't think like "I am going to enjoy my holidays after I reach the destination"Without having a proper destination, can you ever enjoy the journey? It will even create more worries!

Let me come to the situation.Today I had my Chemistry lab,I hate to go there but I still have to.Even after answering all the questions except one or two,I was given 2.5.But students who have even not given the answer to more than three, they got more than me.I try so hard for that but to no use. Those who don't even know anything about the topic, they either get 2.5 or more than that.I will surely break the record of being the lowest scorer on a permanent basis!I don't understand what wrong have I done that God is making the results exactly opposite of what I want! Can those so-called teachers really be called"guru"?I don't think so.The word has a much more deeper meaning that it seems. These people have polluted the concept of a teacher.Yet,they rule here!
What a world this is!

Another thing surprised me or better say shocked me was her unusual inclination towards the boys.If girls say something,it is an insult to the teacher. If the same thing is said by the boys,it may be right. It has hurt me to the core. Some people are so biased, they do injustice before us openly but yet we are just silent spectators. We see it happening before us but yet we are helpless.

These things may seem very trivial in our day to day life and we often neglect that by saying these things happen! But if we cannot control injustice at this level, how do we expect to control that at national level or even global level? Is not it ridiculous?
Let me say something-big things don't come up as their own, they are result of small things on big scale. It is impossible to big a win tournament unless you have the experience of winning a small one.Similarly we all hope for the country ,the world to be free of injustice, corruption and all the vices. But is it possible when it happens at a place as small like this?

When our dream is so unreal how can the consequences be real?Till we change our attitude and mindset to what is happening in our surroundings,we cannot change what is going on around at a bigger stage.Better let us shut up our mouths and stop complaining rather than shouting for what we don't want to prevail!

The Murray Mystery

I watched the first semifinal at Indian Wells between Roger Federer and Andy Murray completely live on TV.In India the time of telecast was 1-30 am.Being an ardent fan of Roger Federer, how could I miss that match?I believed it was going to be a really intriguing match and to some extent,I thought it was!But the outcome was horrifying,at least for all Roger fans.

I don't say that Murray didn't have a chance instead he had beaten Federer five times in their seven meetings till yesterday. But I believed that Federer may use this match as an opportunity to complete his unfinished business against the Scot. But Federer himself proved me wrong. He dissapointed me to the core.Even when he lost at big events,he never succumbed to his rival without putting up a good fight.I was more proud of my champion though I used to cry bitterly after his every loss.He was proved not only a great champion but also a great fighter. His never-say-die attitude "was" the best trait for me in Fedex.

But now it seems so different, everything seems to have changed.Roger Federer is no more the same Roger Federer who used to be so confident and flawless once upon a time! The will power and the determination that was present in one of the best players of all time seem to have vanished. It seems as if he has lost that desire to win which he used to have way before.Everytime I forget the pain of the previous loss and support Roger unconditionally,he disappoints me.But yesterday it was impossible to imagine that "Roger Federer" was playing that third set.I had never seen him play so poorly.Maybe he is losing his concentration more often and his backhand was a disaster yesterday.

It was none other than the great Roger Federer who created a deep craze in me for the game but now I feel that I should stop following his matches.Sometimes I feel maybe I bring him some bad luck.I know I won't be able to stop following him right from this moment, yet I cannot see him lose again and again.
I want the Roger Federer of 2004-07 back on court.I want that he should prove me wrong.I want the confident and flawless Roger back. Will that ever happen?Only time will tell.Yet I still believe that Roger has enough game left in his tank to beat Nadal and Murray. He needs a little bit of self confidence and inspiration. He must regroup and come back at the right time ,otherwise these losses may prove too costly to mend.I wish him all the best.

Has Federer's era waned away?

Roger Federer, once known as the God of Tennis,is no longer considered to be invincible.Tennis critics are now sure that Federer's era of invincibility is gone.He is no longer capable of dominating men's tennis as he used to do during 2004-2007.The media puts him down after his every loss in such a humiliating manner as if he has lost in the first round to a player ranked outside top 100!Tennis followers, mainly the non-Federer fans now criticize Federer's fans for having blind faith in their champion and not accepting the truth that Federer has lost his edge and his tennis is no longer flawless.

I still doubt whether all the above said opinions about Roger Federer are true or not.Only time will give the answer to my question.Yet,being an ardent fan of the great Roger Federer,I don't believe in what the world says. The reality is that I don't care what the world thinks or says. For me,Roger Federer is still the best player in the world. He is still the champion for me today in the same manner he used to be for the world during his early twenties. His game is still the most polished and beautiful in the entire tennis fraternity. His forehand is still lethal and his backhand slice still has no comparison. His ground strokes still very powerful and his footwork still sublime. His fluid movement on court has not deteriorated by even an inch.If tennis is a religion,I'll still pray Federer because Federer is indeed the God of this religion. This is the faith in Federer every Federer fan cherishes.

Three successive grand Slam final losses to his arch-nemesis Rafael Nadal on three different surfaces including Roland Garros,Wimbledon and Melbourne Park might have taken away the confidence he used to have before.Nadal might have gained a mental edge over Roger, yet Roger knows what it takes to bounce back with a bang after a heart-breaking defeat.

Nadal must be given the credit he deserves. He's a good player as well as a great athlete. No question about it.But no matter how many wins does he register over Roger,I 'll still root for Roger till the day I breathe my last.Till the fight is over and I see the truth,I would never imagine that Federer is going to lose.Even in my wildest dreams I cannot see Federer lose.Such is the faith of every Federer fan in him.I bet the love and adulation he gets from fans all over the world,no other player will ever be able to.He is class apart and the manner in which he shows his class both on and off court is worthy of accolades.

Nadal may be the Joe Frazier of today-he is young,he is strong and he is winning. But the unparalleled and the legendary Muhammad Ali of tennis is none other than Roger Federer.I am sure history will repeat itself.Just like Muhammad Ali made a remarkable comeback after being beaten by his rival,in the same manner Roger will be definitely back but this time with more strength and aggression.

Failure is bound to happen at some point of one's life-it may be failure at your professional level,or in personal relationships or it may be even in your day to day activities. No force on this earth can stop your encounter with failures. But the outcome is solely dependent on you.If you wish, you can definitely turn the tide in your favor.Someone has rightly said-Failure becomes a success if one learns from it.I also remember Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra's words about defeat that defeats help you to win more rather than wins because you can learn something from your failures, not from your success.

Being a fan,I mean true and loyal fan,it is my duty to have faith in my ideal and support him not only in his glorious times but also in the toughest moments of his life.I love him not only because of his achievements in his profession but also for his attitude and outlook on and off court. I love him for his unmatched positivism and a never-say-die-attitude.I love him for the grit and determination he has,the strong will power and the golden heart he possesses.Nothing can contradict the fact that joys are bound to follow after disappointments if the person does not give up.I have full faith in the Almighty as well as in him and his ability. There is a logic behind every great philosopher's words:
"FAITH IS TO BELIEVE WHAT YOU DO NOT SEE,THE RESULT OF FAITH IS TO SEE WHAT YOU HAD BELIEVED"

Freedom and modernity

My mind has been constantly revolving around "The Mangalore Pub Incident" for sometime among all the other things but today I feel the need to jot down my thoughts on the particular incident.
May be due to a topic given in the college about the Valentine's Day celebration for discussion, the incident has once again made me ponder about it.I know,no one on this world would have supported such an incident but I don't see anything wrong in their concept.I was surprised no one including women leaders opposed such incidents.Instead, they shouted that freedom of women was curbed by some "goondas" of Shri Ram Sena.
It was really very surprising how could they support their going into pub in scanty dresses and drinking and taking drugs when it is not a myth that these places are the breeding grounds of all those things which ,I believe, the world condemns.Or it was a completely wrong belief! After the reactions of most of the people to this incident,I think I was in darkness. But still I cannot convince myself that whatever happened was not correct!

Of course, their way of behaving with those girls was not right,I admit that. But in the name of freedom, these political leaders and even media, which is supposed to remain"unbiased" made a hue and cry about the incident for days and days.I can never believe that they were really concerned about the girls and their "freedom".It was just a move to criticize the government.Even if any murder or rape had happened, then also those so-called nation-servers would have blamed the government for mis-management.

In this way,we are blindly adopting the Western culture without even giving a second thought to it.Our Indian culture is the richest in the world and we should not make it impure without applying our conscience. This culture and civilization have given us an identity in this world, yet we forget it and try to change with the time.I feel change is necessary but in a positive way-a way which won't mark the end of our culture which is a result of thousand years of evolution,a way which does not destroy our life and a way which does not snatch away the decency from us.

We have the freedom of speech guaranteed by our Constitution, but is it correct on our part to use that freedom to abuse someone?Freedom is not meant for misuse,it is that right we have got which should make us more conscientious and wise. But freedom is like fire,if in control can be of great benefit but if uncontrolled, even destroys one's bone and flesh.

So,in the name of modernity and freedom, let us not stop at drinking, let us move a little further-taking drugs, adultery, premarital sex and make sure that we are not stripped off our "modernity" and "freedom".
